Accurately named the Nature Island, Dominica stands out among other Caribbean islands because of its dedication to preserving its diverse offering of largely unspoiled, natural outdoor experiences. The unparalleled nature experiences don’t stop at the shores either, as Dominica is one of the top destinations for scuba diving, snorkeling, freediving, and all activities on the water. The dramatic underwater volcanic landscapes, abundant marine life, and healthy reefs make this a trip like no other. Be sure to dive Champagne Reef, named for the volcanic gas bubbles emerging from the reef, and keep an eye (and ear) out for the over 20 species of whales that frequent the deep waters just off the edge of the reefs. Join Columbus Scuba for 7 nights at the Fort Young Resort in Dominica.
